Sycamore Crossing

Sycamore Crossing is a site that was targeted as part of the revitalization of downtown Hercules. It measures 12.85 acres and, when completed, will include a 1.37-acre strip of restored wetlands and about 136,000+ square feet of shopping and dining space that will be anchored by a two-story, 55,000-square-foot Safeway grocery store. Working closely with the architects and developer, JETT Landscape Architecture + Design activated public spaces to encourage outdoor use and connect to downtown’s Sycamore Avenue by way of a grand staircase that doubles as an “urban state” for everyday use and community-wide celebrations.
